OUR JOURNEY
Sisters, Lily & Aimee, founded Candid in May 2023. In a world where 1 in 2 people feel more self-doubt than self-love, they wanted to change that.
While going through a turbulent time in 2022, Aimee and Lily discovered self-portrait studios through Tik Tok + Aimee’s travels to Seoul. There was something so transformative about shooting this particular moment in their lives in complete privacy, with no judgement or pressure. They felt energised and empowered to be the most authentic version of themselves. Chatting over a beer after their first self-portrait experience and reflecting on what the session did for them, their mission became clear: they had to bottle that feeling and pass it on.
Candid was born out of the desire to kickstart a self-love revolution and after a year of running their studio above a tiny coffee shop in Kensington, it was clear that that’s what the people (now the much adored Candid Crew) wanted too. The stories within the studio's walls are those of self-discovery, self-acceptance and strength and Lily and Aimee admire every single person who makes the brave move of going from camera-shy to camera-cosy with them. Now settled in Westbourne Grove, they can’t wait to welcome you!

Your very own studio space to shoot exactly what you need in your very own way. The professional set-up is easy breezy to use, the lighting and framing is guided by your studio host and you receive all the images on the same day.

Candid is here to guide your team to step out of their comfort zones and remove limiting beliefs by welcoming them into a fun, safe studio set-up where they can explore their authenticity and creativity by being guided to shooting their own headshot.
